Direct Trade from Origin

Direct Trade offers small coffee growers the opportunity to sell their coffee for a higher price.

For us coffee is more than just a business, it’s a desire to share our long tradition, our experience in growing and our family legacy. It’s also about ensuring our growers get the recognition and respect their growing skills deserve.

Exotic Coffee Roasters go beyond fair trade and get involved with farmers directly allowing producers to combat poverty, strengthen their position and take more control over their lives. In Colombia, growing coffee is not just about taking care of the crops to produce the best coffee; it’s also about the coffee growers, the environment and other factors, which are very important in the process of going from tree to cup.

Direct Trade is more than just trading: it proves that greater justice in the world trade is possible. It emphasises the need for change in the directions and practice of conventional trade and reveal how an effective business can also put people first.

We believe the Farmers effort is the most important aspect in quality coffee and that the growers who do the best work should get the opportunity to improve their livelihood and create sustainable development in their communities.

We roast coffee beans from small farmers. Our commitment is to source shade grown coffees that support healthy environments for coffee growers and look after migratory bird territory. It is imperative to us that the quality of our coffees embraces respect for the quality of life of our farmers. That respect translates into exceptional tasting coffee.
